The cookies quieted your stomach just enough for you to explore the back porch. When you open the battered screen door, you're met with yet another welcome mat. An old, rusted freezer sits by the side of the house. It still emits the familiar hum of an old but determined machine, and you wonder how long it's occupied this spot on the porch. A table and chairs sit near the edge of the porch, accompanied by a few chairs covered in old sheets. Soft pillows sit on top of the sheets, and you realize that they serve as sort of seat cover. The wood of the porch shifts under your weight, although it doesn't feel unstable. You hear something that sounds like running water, although you see nothing leaking from the freezer.
Maybe there's a creek?
